A real renaissance man. Okay, a real Dark Ages man...
Reenactor, artist, photographer, writer. And sometimes, when I'm lucky, I can bring them all together!
I run Folump Enterprises, a small press publisher that mainly publishes books of interest to living history. My catalog may be reached at www.folump.com.
I was been in the SCA since 1972 (and will still attend events and offer advice on historical accuracy but feel that if that organization were to regulate accuracy as much as it imposes meaningless bureacratic regulation it would be HARDCORE; I will never again do anything official), the NWTA (rev war reenacting) since 1989 and Regia Anglorum (British history 950-1066) since 2004 (I am the GL of Micel Folcland, which is the Wisconsin-Indiana-Illinois branch of Regia). I have a healthy interest in most other eras, in the philosophy of living history and in matters historical.
I have a wife of thirty years, a girlfriend of nine, four mostly sweet kitties and a cannon on my front porch. My little sweetie is two states away now, but we're working out any problems with a long-distance relationship! And I haven't had to worry about Christian evangelists and door-to-door salesmen since the cannon took up residence on the porch!
