Viking Spongebob

(no subject)

Last night was terrific. My sweetie and I celebrated Valentine's Day late. She was feeling good. We went to O'Charley's, as I did with my Big Sweetie, and had a great meal. Went to Borders and finally found they had Massive Attack's "Mezzanine" back in stock. It has "Teardrop," the theme (and then some) from "House" (why oh why haven't they put out a "House" soundtrack: their selection of music is extraordinary, ranging from rock to jazz to country!)

Then after a great evening, the journey home was plagued by troubles. First I had been parked in, and it took about five or ten minutes to maneuver out of the space. then three cars had broken down (I presume; they were stopped with flashers going) on Green Street in campustown. Then on Illinois Street, most cars were parked well into the street and, while in a huge line of them, an upcoming car decided to try to fit them and us in the same space, and I avoided him just because there was a driveway handy, and I dove into it. And when I got home, someone had hit our garbage can and shattered it. Woo.

Looks like I head out in a bit to get a new garbage can today (it looks as if it was taken from my property, filled with snow and placed in the middle of the street to be hit. Ah, the high spirits of our youth today!). I'm in the middle of rereading Stacy Roth's opus on first-persion interpretation, _Past Into Present,_ and working on an article on first person, so I'll bring it along and look for a likely place to have lunch :)

Hopefully, it will be warm enough on Tuesday to lug stuff into the attic. I just find it amusing that this same temperature was too cold for me a week ago to do the same thing. Ah, shifting perceptions!
