Viking Spongebob

Alas and Alack, it seems I'm Back

Hurried back from New Orleans yesterday faster than I like so that our friend could get home in time to work today. Twelve hours on the road, with no break more than five minutes to get gas and/or victuals. Still, he's an old friend, and we had a great time. Did not make it over to Gulf Wars, so we are already planning for next year. I really want to see what they've done with the longhouse in early Period (my friend said he had never heard about the Early Period Camp; all anyone talked about was when the fights were and where to get drunk :\ ).

It's raining but warm back here; we avoided the rain down there by a day, and it got pleasantly warm. Some shots are already up on Flickr, and there will be more over the next few days. Feet aren't as sore as I feared, but we're tired. More later of exploits in New Orleans.

Will Wonder Wench get hold of me privately? I picked you up some postcards at Memorial hall and want to get them to you!

There's No Such Thing as Bad Publicity...

I think.

On the revList, someone quoted a press release he had just received:

"Historic René actors launch more than a dozen Batteau boats to show
how good's were transported from Lynchburg to Richmond's fall line in
the late 1700's and early 1800's"

And here I always thought the proper spelling was René Acteur...
