On the way to geneva on Sunday, we ran across a gas station with a humidor. I was in seventh heaven. I still have a Silver Churchill. It's sitting on my desk and calling to me...If you're not a cigar aficionado, you just won't understand.
Tried to take paint off my new goggle helm. Well, the stripper worked a bit, but I think it'll take a more hands-on approach. I washed off all the stripper gunk (and not the *good* stripper gunk if ya know what I mean ), and it's drying now.
In a bit, I head to second-hand stores to find big enamel pots. They're for dyeing. My old big enamel pot is used for defleshing bones and is saturated with sal soda, so I don't use it for cooking anymore. We're supposed to use dye pots just for dyeing. Pretty soon I'll have more noncooking pots than I have cooking pots.
I watched the second season of Deadwood and am rewatching the third. Suddenly, it's making more sense, even with the annotation and recaps :)
Have everything ready for Hearth Night. I'll wait while both you and I laugh :) But I'll start loading the van in a week or so. Information is at http://www.advancenet.net/folo/micel_folcland_hearth_night_ii.htm. If you're in the area, stop on by. It's free, and it'll be fun! Dark Age combat, drill, cooking, dyeing and fire starting, along with pictures, videos and more. Costume is not required. Did I mention it's free?
