Viking Spongebob

(no subject)

Last night, my sweeties and I went out. It was ostensibly for a poly meeting, but it was also for Julie's birthday. We wondered if anyone else would show up; another member showed up, and we had a lively conversation. Too bad my Little Sweetie's chicken wasn't too good (read: almost rotten), but she filled up with healthy taco chips :)

Yesterday, I received a packet of materials for the High Witan: minutes of the last, reports from officers and agenda for the upcoming Witan. Not quite the Star Chamber :) Gotta read everything, confer with the folc if necessary and send in my proxies.

Beth, the GL of Wynmerestow, has been having a bad time recently. Her mother is sick, attracting much of Beth's attention. However, she send price and weapons lists, and Chuck is getting a prodigious little armor from her; if there's anyone else in Micel Folcland (or the land grant) who wants to get some rebated weapons probably should throw in with him. No swords, but most everything else. they have pictures of the wares up at http://www.regia.ca/images/weapons/weapons.html for anyone who wants to see them.

Other than that, I've been cleaning like the devil. The office is fairly done except for the pile of rubbish in the middle of the room. The living room needs to be vacuumed, and the laundry done (Friday morning). I've mopped the kitchen nd have to take a bunch of stuff into the attic (of will someone take all the SCA armor that is taking up entirely too much space? Why is my attic quarter filled with stuff for a group I really don't play with anymore? Oh yeah, I can't say "NO"). It's supposed to warm up into the 50s today, so trekking up the stairs--with the fellas locked in the kitchen--is possible.

Why the effort? We pick up a Regia visitor from Chicago about 6 pm. Robin showed up at Hearth Night, had a great time and wants to learn more about naalbinding and good old Anglo-Danish fun. We used to have parties every month to force us to clean up the house; now we need more visitors!
